Esta dissertação apresenta os mecanismos e as implicações que têm ocorrido no âmbito das
dinâmicas microeconómicas do surgimento de uma nova modalidade de transporte público de
passageiro – as mototaxis. Este é um fenómeno social que tem crescido muito à volta do mundo,
especialmente em países em vias de desenvolvimento, operando com a utilização de uma
motorizada, uma atividade conhecida em muitos países como serviço de mototáxi. Sendo assim,
procuramos saber as principais características dos mototaxistas e dos utentes e que
contribuições tem essa atividade na mobilidade da população para as suas atividades sociais do
dia a dia. Para isso, foi necessário fazer o levantamento de dados através de um inquérito onde
foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com base num roteiro de entrevistas e que foram
organizadas e sintetizadas. A partir destes foi possível caracterizar os autores, a actividade e os
principais beneficiários da mesma.Como complemento da análise, também foi possível realizar
uma análise swot para compreender melhor o papel social da atividade bem como a necessidade
de sua existência nestes países.
This dissertation presents the mechanisms and implications that have occurred, in the context of the microeconomic dynamics of the emergence of a new modality of public passenger transport, a social phenomenon that has grown a lot around the world, especially in developing countries, operating with the use of a motorbike, an activity known in many countries as a motorcycle taxi service. Therefore, we seek to know what contributions this activity has in the mobility of the population for their day-to-day social activities. For this, it was necessary to collect data through a survey, where semi-structured interviews were carried out based on a script of interviews, which were organized and synthesized, from which it was possible to characterize the authors, the activity and the main beneficiary of the In addition, as a complement to the analysis, it was also possible to carry out a SWOT analysis to better understand the social role of the activity as well as the need for its existence in these countries.
